Edward Alonzo Vincent

Edward Alonzo Vincent passed away April 19, 2023 in Humble, Texas. He was born to John and Mary Ellen Vincent on July 29, 1938 in Jacksonville IL. Edward lived on his family farm until leaving to work in Chicago, where he met the love of his life, Billie Ryan. Edward served his country in the United States Army and shortly after beginning his service, married Billie. After his honorable discharge, Edward returned to Chicago and became a City of Chicago Policeman. Edward and Billie relocated to Texas in 1986, where they raised their family and eventually retired. Edward served his community by volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and helping at his local church. Edward enjoyed exploring new destinations, spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and yard work.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Billie, of 46 years, his mother and father, three brothers and two sisters, Wanda Zuluaf, John Spurlock, Warren Vincent, David Vincent, and Joanne Floyd. He is survived by three children; Lisa Gossman and husband Steve of Evansville, IN; Shannon Vincent and wife Heather of Allison Park, PA; Sean Vincent and wife Stephanie of Kingwood, TX; 7 grandchildren; Kelli (30), Sydney (24), Jackson (20), Avery (18), Sarah (16), Spencer (14), Hudson (12), and one great grandchild, Rhys (3). He is also survived by his two sisters, Martha Stephenson and Phyllis Musgrave, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Edward will be remembered for his ability to speak to anyone, his love for his family, and sense of humor.

In keeping with his wishes, and his desire to promote education, Edward's body was donated to science. His family will hold a private celebration of life on June 24, 2023.
