EDWIN MEISTER Obituary
Age 66, of Sewickley, died Sunday, September 25, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice House with his loving family by his side. He was born December 12, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Edwin and Mary Jane Patton Meister. He was a retired recreation therapeutic specialist. He was a kind, loving and generous man. One of his passions in life was woodworking. Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Geraldine "Gerrie" Meister; two sons, Christopher (Kirsten) Meister and Matthew Meister; grandson, Eric Meister; brother, George (Darlene) Meister of California; a sister, Debbie (John) Wills of Colorado; and his beloved cats and extended family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Gordon F. Strunk. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the St. Johns Lutheran Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA. I am sorry for your loss!! I am the salesman @ Kenny Ross that helped you trade in Ed's truck. The day you and I think it was your daughter in law came in that you dealt with.I saw it in your face that day that you didn't want to see that truck go, but Like you said that's what Ed had wanted!! I never met Ed that day, but I can tell he must have been the greatest guy ever for he was already preparing you for his passing!! I wish you and your family nothing but the best!! That day will always stick with me, l saw how hard it was for you to let go of something that someone loved!! He is free of pain, and I'm sure that what you wanted the most!!
