Mrs. Defreest is certainly brightening the heavens. Her unique teaching style was decades ahead of her time & thousands of students are better for her intelligent nurturing, insight & humor. I remain a grateful beneficiary of her talent. My heartfelt condolences to her family. This is a great loss.

I was her student in 1963 and loved her sense of humor. She certainly related to teenagers!
My sympathy to her family - she was a great teacher and, I'm sure even a better mother. Barbara Egler Paul-Holmes
