BILLERICA -- Elaine M. Shaughnessy, age 70, beloved wife of John J. Shaughnessy, died Sunday, at their home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lowell, October 1, 1941, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary Ellen (Pike) Marshall, and was a resident of Billerica most of her life.

Mrs. Shaughnessy was employed as a Waitress at the Mt. Vernon Restaurant in Somerville for many years, and was also employed for RCA Systems in Burlington prior to her retirement.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Shaughnessy is survived by her son, John Shaughnessy and his wife, Patricia of Malden; her daughter, Robin Miller and her husband, Ralph of Burlington; her grandchildren, John, Paul and Mary Shaughnessy, and John Miller; and her great-grandson, Michael Miller Jr.; and her sisters, Patricia Curtin and Constance Goucher of FL.

Mrs. Shaughnessy was the mother of the late Susan Shaughnessy, sister of the late Richard and Daniel Marshall, and grandmother of the late Michael Miller.

SHAUGHNESSY -- Of Billerica, Dec. 25, Elaine M. Shaughnessy, Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
