Elaine Claire Walters
January 30, 1944 - March 29, 2017

Elaine was born in New York City. As a child of our military, she lived in France and throughout the United States. In 1962, her family settled in Barstow. She fulfilled her high school requirements in 1964, and later received her Associate of Science degree from Barstow College in 1989. She is survived by her husband, Ron Walters Sr. They would have celebrated 37 years of marriage April 11, 2017. Her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Cindy Richard of Mayetta, KS; daughters and sons and spouses, Theresa Hill and Alan Napier of Bellefontaine, Ott, Michael and Maria Paddack of Monterey, CA, Ron Jr. and Maria Walters of Kingman, AZ, Ken and Brenda Paddack of Sandpoint, ID, Monica and Michael McFarland of Tuolumne, CA; grandchildren and spouses, Brandi and John Bliss, Jessica Hill and Jim Parker, Andrea Hill and David West, Caitlyn Hill, Daniel and Stephanie Napier, April and Julio Rodriguez, Christy Neal, Anna Fleming, Eliza Paddack, Teresita Walters and Nick Lawson, Alexandra Walters and Casey Wynn, Ron Walters III, Ken Paddack Jr., Miranda Paddack, Abigail Paddack, Glenn Paddack, Josie Walters, Jarrett McFarland, Bailey Fry; 17 great grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. Many others have been lovingly adopted into the family as one of their own and many more grandchildren. Elaine loved the whole of her family above anything else. She enjoyed cooking and baking with and for them, sewing special things for them, handmaking cards for every occasion, for all in the family. She enjoyed ceramics and crafts, liked bears and owls and loved to read books. Elaine was a loving and giving heart. On so many different occasions, she and her husband selflessly gave to those who were ill or otherwise in need. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for April 8, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Los Domingos Restaurant, 1520 E. Main St. Barstow, CA. Please RSVP 760-256-5977. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please donate in support of our military troops and their families.

So sad to hear of your passing. I knew of your beauty and grace thru the stories Ron shared. When I lost my niece, a man at her church wrote a song he said he was compelled to stop and write about her dancing with Jesus. I understand you loved to dance, and may you be dancing with Jesus.
