Eleanor L. "Peach" Rhine, 81 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, December 23, 2011, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. Born Monday, December 15, 1930 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of Stanley L. Brumfield and the late Mildred Tribolet Brumfield who preceded her in death. Eleanor married Kenneth H. Rhine on September 17, 1949 in Lima, Ohio, he survives. They were married for 62 years. They were the love of each other's lives...together 64 years. She was an amazingly kind, giving, loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and teacher. She gave of herself fully, without reservation through her entire life. She will be very greatly missed by all of the many whose lives she touched. Most especially by her family who love and cherish her dearly. She attended Lima South High School and Lima Central High School graduating from Lima Central High School in 1949. She held all of these positions at the same time. She modeled for Lima Department stores as a teenager. Gave voice recitals as a child, and over the years offered help and guidance to parents of special needs children. She loved her students as if they were her own children. She was a gifted painter and enjoyed spending time with family and friend playing cards and scrabble. She was an animal lover, reader, and lifelong learner. Her college experience awakened a very strong interest in geology, which resulted with her becoming a rock collector. During her teaching career, she was named a Jennings Scholar.
