Eleanor Cordero Lewis, was a beloved great grandmother, grandmother, mother and wife during her incredible 94 years of life. She passed away on March 26th, 2022 at her home in Merced, CA.

Eleanor was born on October 14, 1927 to Carlos Herrera and Catalina Hernandez Herrera in San Francisco, CA. She was the oldest of five children.

Eleanor married her first husband, Raul Renteria Sr. in 1948 and had six children with him. After his untimely death in 1963, she went on to raise all six of her children on her own. Often working multiple jobs, just to make ends meet. In 1985, she met her second husband, Buford Lewis. They went on to marry on Valentine's Day in 1987.

Eleanor loved to play card games, gardening, reading, dancing, crocheting, and playing games on her computer. She kept active during her years, often going for 3 mile walks, daily. She loved when family came to visit, and would always have plenty of food prepared for everyone who arrived.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and grandson Raul Renteria. She is survived by her brother, David Herrera, her husband, Buford Lewis, her six children: Raul Renteria, Connie Wilkinson, Craig Renteria, Debra Renteria, Margaret Miracle and Donald Renteria. Her twelve grandchildren: Karla Cordero, Nick Wilkinson, Sara Renteria, Gabe Renteria, Michelle Renteria, Melissa Renteria, Colin Renteria, Lisa Renteria, Craig Renteria Jr., Ben Price, Brittany Price, Nicole Evanich and her six great grandchildren: Landon Lockhart-Renteria, Suzie Lockhart-Renteria, Peyton Lockhart-Renteria, Fox Esparza, Vivian Cordero, Clayton James Renteria-Raphaell.

She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
