Elfrieda Kelber Obituary
Elfrieda was born in Orange, NJ, on June 4, 1915, to Frieda and Louis Darnstaedt. She and her sister, Louise, and brother, Rohlff, were raised in Glen Ridge, NJ. Elfrieda graduated as salutatorian from Glen Ridge High School.
She worked at the Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Newark. Elfrieda married George Kelber and they moved to Dallas, TX, where they lived for four years before moving back to NJ. Their daughter, Karen, was born when they lived in Belleville. Elfrieda lived in West Orange, NJ, for 51 years and attended First Presbyterian Church in Orange. She moved to Longmont, CO, in 2000 to be near her family.
Elfrieda was preceded in death by her husband, George, sister Louise and brother, Rohlff. She is survived by her daughter Karen Glover (William) of Niwot; grandson, Todd Glover of Niwot; granddaughter Jill Adams (David) of Thornton; and great-grandchildren Madison, Paige and Carson.
Services will be private. Donations to Autism Society, 550 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Ste. 100, Lakewood, CO 80226, would be appreciated.
