Elisa Aragon Obituary
Raised in Socorro, Texas, Elisa grew up surrounded by family and community. After marrying the love of her life, Juan Aragon, the couple settled in El Paso where they built a home filled with love and laughter. Together they raised five children: Angie Aragon; Johnny Aragon; Eddie Aragon; Mary Aragon; and Jimmy Aragon.
Elisa embraced her role as a devoted housewife and mother with joy and pride. She was known for her boundless energy and unwavering positivity. Her home was always open to friends and family alike-a place where everyone felt welcome. Whether she was preparing a delicious meal or sewing garments for loved ones as a talented seamstress, Elisa poured her heart into everything she did.
Her sociable nature made her a cherished friend to many. Always ready to lend a hand or offer support, Elisa had an innate ability to uplift those around her. She faced life's challenges with determination and grace-qualities that earned her the affectionate title of "supermom" from those who knew her best.
Elisa's legacy lives on through her large and loving family. She is survived by her five children; Angie Aragon, Johnny Aragon (Rose); Eddie Aragon (Cynthia), Mary Aragon, and Jimmy Aragon (Hilda); sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will continue to honor her memory with love.
She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Aragon; her mother Elvira Escontrias; and her brothers Carlos Lopez, Roberto Lopez, and Jose Lopez.
A funeral service celebrating Elisa's life will be held on September 26, 2025, in El Paso, Texas.
May the memory of Elisa "Licha" Aragon bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 131 S. Zaragoza Road. Services in the large church. A Burial will be held on September 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery 401 S. Zaragoza Road.
