Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Arneson, aged 92 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Hogarth Riverview Manor. Betty was born on December 10, 1925 in Fort William and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Otway. Betty was a long time employee of B.A. Oil Co./Gulf Canada. She was married to Arnold Arneson on July 18, 1953. Betty was a member of the Sapphire Rebekah Lodge #309, the Connaught Chapter #9 – Order of the Eastern Star and a life long member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Larry) Fukushima, Thunder Bay; brother Ken (June) Otway, Port Moody, B.C. and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Arnold; infant daughter Patricia Lynne; parents Isaac and Mary Otway; sisters Gladys (Alex), Gertrude, Evelyn (Jim) and Marjorie (Les) (Ernie); brothers Gilbert (Agnes), Howard (Joan), Tommy (Margaret) and Lloyd (Pearl).
Funeral services for Mrs. Arneson will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home with Archdeacon Deborah Kraft officiating. A private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church, St. Joseph's Care Group or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Special thanks to Dr. Habjan and Dr. Lee for all the years of caring for my mother and to Hogarth Riverview Manor, 4 South, for all your kindness and wonderful care.
