83, of Baldwin Boro, on Tues., March 31, 2009; beloved wife of William J. Burkus; dear mother of Daniel Burkus of S. Korea, William E. (Patricia) Burkus of White Oak and Judith (Dennis) Lee of Bethel Park; grandmother of Shari, Kenny and Ryan Lee; sister of Anne DiFebo and the late Mary Szeszak, Joseph and Andrew Kazar. Friends received at the CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 412-881-2300 on Fri. 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Sat. at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Wendelin Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Compassionate Care, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243. Dear Bill
I was very sad to hear about Betty. The last time I saw both of you was at my sister (Olga (Kotula) Moskal's 80th birthday party in Weirton, West Virginia. Sad to say, she died 2 months after her party. My brother, Frank, also died that same week. I used to see Betty when she worked downtown. We would run into each other on our lunch hour and she was so nice to talk to. As you may remember, Betty and my sister Olga grew up together in Hazelwood and Betty was the Maid of Honor at her wedding. Sadly, they were out of touch for so many years but were happy to be reunited once again at the party. Again, please accept my deepest sympathy.
