Knoxville, TN
Elizabeth "Bette" Marie Hebb went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2017, at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1948 in Chicago Illinois to the late George and Hallie Wiersma. Bette was employed as a Legal Secretary and enjoyed playing the piano for her Church in New Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert D. Hebb; and her brothers, James and John Weirsma. She is survived by her husband, Allan Hebb; son, Jeffrey Hebb; sisters, Adaline Nelson and Evelyn (Howard) Hall; sister-in-law, Johna O'Connel; brother-in-law, Bernard Hebb; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1:00- 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 2:30 at First Baptist Concord, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37934 officiated by Reverend Steve Peek. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Central Time at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in Mrs. Elizabeth Hebb's memory to the Legacy Builders Senior Adult Ministries of First Baptist Concord, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37934. Dear Allan and Jeff,
How I fondly remember Bette and all the wonderful times we had together at Beth-el Bible Church, playing the instruments for church.
Bette was so faithful about that!!!
I remember teasing her about not being able to play the organ for me because her feet didn't reach the pedals....how she would laugh that!
I have thought of your family often and fondly, thanking God for your lives and your love for Christ, our great Savior and Lord.
May He cover you with His tender love, grace, and comfort now and in the days to come.
