Elizabeth C. (Corbin) LaCroix age 82, of Millis, died Saturday August 1, 2015 due to complications of Alzheimers Disease. Betty was the beloved wife of Edward A. LaCroix of Millis, the dear mother of Edward A. LaCroix Jr. and his wife Carole of Willington CT, Robert C. LaCroix and his wife Maureen Harmonay of Sterling MA, Mark L. LaCroix and his wife Kristin of Millis and Jane E. Montgomery and her husband W. Schuyler Montgomery Jr. of East Hartford CT. She was the sister of the late Priscilla Mahoney, Ruth Candela and Richard Corbin and sister-in-law of the late John Mahoney and Gerald Candela. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Corbin, and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Priscilla and Richard Sanborn and Jean and Richard LaCroix and Bettys nine cherished grandchildren; Cathryn, Christine, Jessica, Hannah, Hayden, Emma, Elizabeth, William and Graydon, as well as many nieces and nephews. A resident of Millis for the past 63 years, Betty was born in Cambridge and raised in Natick, a daughter of the late Claude R. and Flora Mildred (Clark) Corbin. Following her graduation from Natick High School in 1951, Betty proudly worked for the F.B.I. Later in life she was employed by Dean Jr. College in Franklin, retiring after 16 years of dedicated service. Betty was the former President of the Millis Centennial Bells and was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ in Millis, where she also served as church secretary for many years. Betty enjoyed camping, crafting, reading, decorating, baking and hosting large social gatherings. She delighted in attending her childrens and grandchildrens many sports, dance, music, theatre and educational activities. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of her life at the United Church of Christ 142 Exchange St. Millis, Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 11AM. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Millis at a later date. There will be no funeral home calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
