Elizabeth Potvin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2025.
Elizabeth Catherine Potvin passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 71 in Thunder Bay, ON. Born on July 27, 1953, Elizabeth dedicated her life to caring for others, both through her career and in her personal life.

Elizabeth spent many years serving the community through her work with the Red Cross and Bayshore, roles that allowed her to touch the lives of many with her kindness and dedication. Beyond her professional life, she was a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment with her grandchildren, Chloe, Kaila, and Robert.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Kim), as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, all of whom shared in the joy and warmth she brought to their lives. Elizabeth found great solace in her faith, actively participating in the community of St. Pat's Cathedral.

An avid gardener, Elizabeth took great pride in tending to her flowers, a hobby that reflected her nurturing nature and love for beauty in its most natural form.

A celebration of Elizabeths life will be held on July 27th at the Superior Inn from 12 to 3 in the embassy room, where family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by her are welcome to share in remembering her legacy.

Aunty Elizabeth is my God mother. Her presence was with me throughout my childhood. I moved to BC as an adult and sadly did not see her often as I would have liked. She will be sadly missed by many. Rest in Peace Aunty. XOXO
