ELLEN C. (LYONS) MATTHEWS

MATTHEWS, Ellen C. (Keefe)(Lyons) Of Boston, died January 2, 2019. Wife of the late Leo Lyons and the late John Matthews. Beloved companion of Len Seeche of Naples, FL. Loving mother of Ellen Lyons and her husband Bruce Lundeen of Quincy, and the late Leo Lyons. Ellen was a proud step-grandmother to Samantha Lundeen of Somerville. Cherished sister of Paula King of Randolph, and the late John Keefe. Also survived by her dear cousins Joseph, Martha, Clara, and Marco King of Hull, Leslie Seeche of Seattle, the Maselan family of Weston, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ellen was born and raised in Quincy, graduating from Quincy High School. In her earlier years, Ellen was a model and artist, with a deep appreciation for the beauty in all things. For the last 30 years, Ellen lived in Boston and enjoyed her view of Boston Harbor. She was a gifted painter and a good friend. Ellen will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Sunday, 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home, 9:15 AM on Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
