Ellen Sherman was my friend at Killingworth Elementary School. She and Ray were my classmates and great people. I had no idea that she was so close. (Putnam and Woodstock)
I am in Thompson Connecticut and I could have bumped into her in the store and not even known it. Condolences to her family.
She was always a wonderful, quality person when she was young.

Ellen was the best Nana ever. She gave the hugs that could calm you down when no one else could, and always brought smiles and laughter into a room. She will be missed by many.

Ellen was one of my best friends at Killingworth Elementary School. We learned how to be cheerleaders and I helped her get on the team. We were in Girl Scouts together. My mom and her mom Enid were gardening pals always exchanging plants. My dad enjoyed Ellen´s father Bob and we spent many hours visiting their house and walking their gardens. I am in shock she´s gone. I was planning to get together with her on one of my monthly trips to visit my mom and my aunt.

Ellen was a mentor to me through my childhood. She was my girl scouting leader and through her help I got my gold award. I was also close friends with her son Brian, and spent many many days at their house growing up. I am so thankful for her role in my life and send her all of the love in heaven.

Ellen was a lovely woman and a good human being. She was a wonderful wife and a fierce and loving mom. Her family was her treasure and she fought for it and protected it life a proud lioness. I know she will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Our hearts go out to them. Mike and Margie Nagle
