ELLSWORTH - Ellis P. Seavey, 75, died April 17, 2011, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth. Ellis was born March 26, 1936, in Southwest Harbor, son of Irving and Violet "Stanwood" Seavey. Ellis worked as a meat cutter for 20 years at Safeway, Mesa, Ariz. He is a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed building model boats and camping. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Pauline (Gott) Seavey, who was his love and soul mate; two wonderful daughters, Wendy Maple and husband, William, of Phoenix and Valerie Seavey of Ellsworth; one brother, Maurice Seavey and wife, Carol, of West Tremont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special mother-in-law, Pauline Billings of Ellsworth. Contributions may be made in his memory to What's for Suppa Food Pantry, 1675 Mariaville Road, Mariaville, ME 04605. Arrangements are being handled by Acadia Burial and Cremation, 248 State St., Ellsworth.
