Eloise Shuford Obituary
Eloise was a teacher for children with cerebral palsy, a Sunday school teacher for many years, and a wonderful cook, a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her daughter Karen S. West (Woody), son Thomas A. Shuford (Edie), grandchildren; Melanie McLane (Clint), Amy Marshall (Pat), and David Shuford (Crystal), great grandchildren; Mason and Grant Mauldin, Emerson and Knox Marshall, Bradley and Dylan Griffin. She is also survived by her siblings; Alton Wheeler (Pat), Katie Wheeler, and Myron Wheeler (Gail), special friends Phyllis and Russ Gunner, and her Oak Island Community Center Senior Program family that welcomed her 5 years ago when she moved to Oak Island to live with Karen.
In addition to her parents Eloise is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Shuford and siblings Royce Wheeler (Gladys) and Van Wheeler (Mary).
A gathering time will take place 12:00pm to 12:30pm Saturday, February 8, 2025, with services following at Sisk Memorial Baptist Church, 115 Massey Street, Fort Mill, SC, 29715.
Interment will take place in Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.
There will also be a celebration of life service at Oak Island Community Center 11 a, February 26, 2025.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
