Elston Paul Champluvier

On Friday, April 14, 2017, Elston Paul Champluvier of Towanda, Pa., left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father. He had been a patient at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre since March 31, 2017.
Paul was born on June 17, 1953 at Mills Hospital in Towanda the son of Rhea and Elston Alfred Champluvier. Paul was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1972 where he lettered in football and baseball. He became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Towanda on April 26, 1967.
Paul worked at Sylvania Electric in Towanda and by saving his money he purchased a new red Firebird with cash. He later drove for the Mayflower Moving Company across the country, did refuse removal, silo construction and was employed for 25 years at Cargill in Wyalusing, retiring in 2015. 
Paul found great pleasure in taking his boat on the river, fishing and hunting especially deer. He purchased his home in East Towanda, continually improving it. 
Surviving are his sons, Mathew and Nicholas Davidson; his beloved fiancée, Danna Sayers; his mother, Rhea Johnston; sisters, Calista Champluvier, Gladys Johnston, Heather Johnston; half-sisters, Betty Faulkner, Linda Zuke, Patricia Zuris, Luann Bentley, Maxine Dickerson; and half-brothers, Robert Champluvier, Elston Champluvier and George Champluvier; eight nieces and two nephews. Paul also had two cats that gave him great joy. 
Paul was predeceased by an infant brother, Francis Lee; his biological father, Elston Alfred Champluvier; and stepfather, William Lane Johnston.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Towanda American Legion Post No. 42, 912 Main St., Towanda, Pa.
