Emily M. Sackett 7/24/1918 - 10/4/2010 Emily was born to Ellen Lind and Emil Swanson in Benton County, MN. She grew up on the family farm near Foley, MN along with her three siblings, Leonard, Melvin and Doris. Emily married Robert (Bob) Sackett in 1943. They spent the early years of their marriage on Bob's family farm in MN, then moved to WY because of Emily's health and later to AZ for Bob to accept a position at the U of A. She was an excellent seamstress, making drapes for several years along with both daughter's wedding dresses. She was active in her church, and enjoyed entertaining her family. Emily was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sister and husband, Bob. She is survived by two daughters of Tucson, Carol Swango (Dan) and Connie Kiefer (Kris) and son, Richard (Susan) of WY; grandchildren, Rodney (Sally), Nicholas, Matthew, Tyson and Richard; great-granddaughter, Janae and step-grandsons, Jeffrey and Michael.
