ENRIQUETA SALINAS BAZAN

Enriqueta Salinas Bazan, a resident of Mount Vernon, Washington died on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Enriqueta Bazan was 76 years old and was born in Texas on August 8, 1932. She married Marcello Bazan Sr. and came to Washington when she was 12 years old.

Enriqueta was a homemaker and was the mother of 14 children.

Enriqueta has 11 surviving children. Marcello, Daniel, Diana, Estella, Teresa, Mike, Gilbert, Israel, Gabriel, Samuel, and Jose. Enriqueta also had 5 surviving brothers and sisters, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Victor Salinas and Maria Morales; her husband Marcello Bazan Sr.; her children Victor, Mary Jane, and Rosie; and 2 sisters.

Our mom was a mom who loved, shared, and inspired. She was giving to anyone and everyone she came in contact with. She even went out of her way to give her home or last dollar to the homeless and needy. She was our rock and she taught us to love, appreciate, care, respect, and give to others; as she did.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at Kern Funeral Home, 1122 South Third St, Mount Vernon. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 12:15 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church 215 N 15th Street in Mt Vernon. Burial will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church and Cemetery 4200 88th St NE in Marysville. A reception will follow at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Road in Marysville.
