Eric A. Phillip

Eric A. Phillip, 71, Port Charlotte, died Aug. 24, 2002. He was born in Grenada, West Indies, and came to the Charlotte County area five years ago from Edison, N.J. He was a supervisor for Saks Fifth Avenue and a member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Survivors include his wife, Thelma E.; son Randy of Silver Spring, Md.; daughters Lydia of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jennis of Woodbridge, N.J., Marcelle Hughley of Queens, N.Y., and Patricia Stewart of London, England; brothers Joseph of Brooklyn, N.Y., Gregory of Tampa, and Roy of Toronto, Canada; sisters Agnes Forrester of Grenada, West Indies, and Uranie Fletcher, Monica Belmar, and Magdalene, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Paul Schelm Funeral Home in Port Charlotte is in charge.
