Eric SCHWASS Obituary
Passed peacefully at Maida Vale Rest Home on Saturday 18th February 2023, aged 79 years. Very much loved father and father-in-law- of Eleanor, and Paul and Karlena. Loved Grandad of Charley, Gracie, Laurence, Zackery, Kelly, Lisa, Sarah, and Emma. A much loved great-grandfather also. Loved son of the late Eric and Eleanor Schwass, and step-son of Joan Schwass (dec). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Trevor and Judy, Adrian and Frank, and Cyril (dec) and Wendy. Messages may be sent to "The Schwass Family", c/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340, or online at wabraham.co.nz/notices A service for Tex will be held in The Taranaki Crematorium, Junction Road, New Plymouth, on Friday 24th February 2023, at 2.00pm. For those on bikes wanting to escort Tex to his service, please be at the TSB Stadium carpark, New Plymouth, by 1.15pm, to follow the hearse.

Paul, myself and our family can't thank you all enough for your meaningful words and for making his farewell so hilarious and heartwarming. We all know he would have a grin a mile wide. And thanks also to the 98 bike riders who didn't let the weather, creaking bones or even spine surgery stop them escorting Father to his second to last farewell.
His final resting place will be with his beloved mother and I think Paul has plans for that journey.
Thanks again. You've all made our loss easier to cope with.

Dear Eleanor, Paul and extended family. Uncle Curly was certainly one of life's characters. I have fond memories of him from his occasional visits on his moto-guzzi when I still lived in Napier, Eleanor and Grahams wedding and his attendance at our wedding in 2001. Dad would occasionally share entertaining stories from their childhood. Unfortunately I cannot attend the service in person, but will be watching his 'celebration of a life less ordinary' via live feed. My deepest condolences and you are in my thoughts at this difficult time.
