ERIC J. "MAN MAN"
He was extremely bright, a skilled athlete, and a star football player. He was also a great son, big brother, uncle, cousin, and was deeply loved by his family and friends. Eric was always pleasant with a ready smile and will be sorely missed. Age 17, of the Hill District, passed away tragically on Oct. 8, 2014. Son of Erika Potter and Jackie Young, Sr.; brother of Jackie, Jr., Jackiel and Jackira Young; and his cousin who was like his sister, the late Kahdejah Cammon; uncle of Jae'mir; grandson of Edith Potter, Charles Potter (Janette), and the late Armeena Young and DePaul Smith; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation on Monday, October 13 , 2014, from 3-8 p.m. in the Wesley Center AME Zion Church, 2701 Centre Ave., Pgh., PA 15219, where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. Interment Allegheny Cemetery.

To the family of eric, my deepest sympathy goes out to the whole family. My daughter and alot of her friends knew eric from school and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He will b truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

My heart and prayers go out to Eric's entire family. It hurt my heart to know he left this earth tragically and so young. I did not know Eric but was known by my daughter who's heart aches of the loss of her friend. You all are not alone,. We care and we are grieving also. May God comfort you all in the name of jesus. I want to extend to your family my deepest sympathy to your family,my daughter was shot in May and was 8 months pregnant, although my daughter did survive her baby did not and she was also shot by a member of her peers! The violence just needs to stop, I will continue to keep your family in my prayers! It may seem like right now that things will never get better, but trust me when I tell you it does, just keep your faith and God will do the rest!
