Erica Green Obituary
Erica Dionne Green, 43, of South Bend, Indiana departed this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on April 9, 1971, in South Bend, Indiana to the union of William Jenkins Jr. and Nancy Diane Taylor.
Erica received her formal education through the South Bend Community School system, graduating from LaSalle High School. She worked at St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Center as a Health Aide for 4 years; her recent employment was with REAL Services for 13 years. She loved being with friends and family and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, DeWitt Anthony Green of South Bend, Indiana, children: Dawan Anderson Jr., Darionne Anderson, Antonette Baynes, Darron Baynes; granddaughter, A’Niya Anderson; her father, William (Barbara) Jenkins Jr. of South Bend; father-in-law, DeWitt Jones of Dolton, Illinois; siblings: Jason (Yolanda) Jenkins, Mackinzi Jenkins, of South Bend, Taneka Jenkins of Chicago, Illinois; aunts and uncles: Maggie Jenkins, Lula Jenkins and Mary Jenkins, Rudy (Cecelia) Jenkins of California, Billy Taylor of South Bend, Russell Coleman of Elkhart, Indiana, Sam Stalling, Allan A.D. Jackson Sr.; favorite nephews: Torrian Burt, Andrew Cummings of South Bend; in-laws, Eddie (Allethia) Joiner of Indiana, Janet Banks, Sylvia Joiner, of Tennessee, Marvin Bell of Texas, Debra Joiner, Carvin Bell, Elvis Green of Mississippi, Sharon (Michael) Donner, Rickey (Shirley) Green of Tunica, Mississippi; best friends: Angela Dennard, Antonette Smith, Jaton Hughes and Selina Dorsey; along with a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Nancy Taylor Jenkins; grandparents: William and Eliza Jenkins and William and Alvana Taylor; uncles: Robert Taylor Garfield Jones; aunts: Shirley Jenkins and Marcella Kimble; mother-in-law, Frankie Bell of Tunica, Mississippi.
Services for Erica D. Green will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

To Erica's children my prayers are constantly with you as I know you miss your mom tremendously. I'm grateful to know after talking to her that she had a saving faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Now her big beautiful smile is making heaven even brighter along with my son Dominique. Don't they have the most beautiful smile. I love your mom also and she always showed me love and respect. Thankful that she didn't continue to be in pain for very long. Enjoy talking about and reflecting on things she taught you and times you spent together.
