ERIK LOHR Obituary
On Sunday morning, Sept. 12, 2010, Erik, 40 of Oakmont, died peacefully at his mothers home after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved father of Corey Austin Lohr and continued a friendship with Corey's mother Deborah Lohr; dear son of Judith Ann Miller and stepson of Charles Shoben; brother of Donald Lohr; grandson of Hugh S. Miller and the late Osa Mae Miller; nephew of Charles and Mary Jo Miller, Ed and Joanne Miller and Sam and Beth Miller; uncle of Kylee, Donald, Nathan and Adam Lohr. Erik's family is extremely grateful for the fine care given by Dr. Nathan Baharey, Shadyside Hospital staff, and the Hillman Cancer Center. Erik was a 1988 Riverview High School graduate and also a graduate of the PA Culinary School. Friends and family will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-9. Service Thursday, 10am at the Funeral Home. Family suggests memorials to a Trust Fund for his son Corey, c/o Citizens Bank, Oakmont Branch, 15139.

I am so sorry to hear of Erics passing. I spent many days with Eric as a youth and even though we went our separate ways, he was never forgotten. I hope all the family is well and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Lohr Family,
My heart ached for you this morning when I got the call about Erik. I only had the pleasure of meeting Erik a few times during the Gilda's Club events. His smile was so heart warming. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

To the family of a man we have known for a long time... We have many memories together through goodtimes and bad and one thing I can say is Erik never ever lost his spirit!!!! You saw it in his eyes everytime you looked at him...He was a great dad and a wonderful friend.... May the lord take him into his kingdom and give him the peace he truly deserves.... To Lohr Family,
May Eric rest in peace and no longer suffer, have not seen him in a long time and we lived in the same town. Will never forget all the memories from high school and down in the "MINT". My prayers go out to his family and friends!

Erik,
I will always remember the sweet smile you always had on your face even through all of the pain, and now you are at rest in God's hands. You were such a fighter and my hero. I know the trips to Shadyside were long and we did it as a "team" for many months and it really taught me a lot about life. Dr. Bahary and the staff at Hillman Cancer Center were great and you always went in with a smile. I will miss our times together and am happy you are no longer suffering. I had great times with you and your family and especially, Corey and will never for get the look on your face at your 40th! Thank you for all of the good memories and may you finally be at rest. You will always be a part of my heart and I will miss and love you xxoo
