Age 10, of Coraopolis, died Friday August 20, 2004. Born June 22, 1994 in Sewickley, beloved daughter of Joyce Ann (Johnson) Schmidt & Soulmate Stanley Munger, Russel Charles Schmidt & wife Valerie; Loving sister of Lindsay N. Schmidt & stepsister of Jessie Buckner; Cherished granddaughter of Ernest & Elizabeth Johnson of Moon Twp., & the late Ralph & Grace Schmidt. Also survived by many uncles, aunts & cousins. Erin, a loving & caring child, had tons of friends who will miss her. She was fascinated by nature, loved her pets & had a super passion for bugs. Visitation Tuesday 7-9, Wednesday 2-4 7-9 at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS 867 Fifth AveFuneral Service Thursday 11AM at the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all who loved Erin. On Russ and Valerie's wedding day I introduced myself to Erin and told her as Val's sister I would be her new aunt. She looked at me with some suspicion and said "I'm not allowed to talk to strangers." I praised her for remembering that important rule and showed her a photo of me with Valerie. She decided I was probably ok and gave me a shy smile. She looked so solemn and precious all dressed up as she walk down the aisle for the wedding and as she caught my eye I received another smile. What a sweetheart!

I am so very sorry for your loss. Lindsay may remember me from some of Kimberlee's birthday parties. I knew Erin pretty well, and I remember when she sat and watched Jeepers Creepers with all of the older kids and was able to stand the scariness when the older kids hardly could. She was a very brave and loving girl and I am so sorry about your loss.
