Ernie was the Principal Palmer during my three years there, 1967-70. He was an inspiration to us all, in particular he helped me along my way in Grade 10 and I will never forget him for that. Later on in my life I came to know him as a fellow Administrator and looked forward to his meetings at the RASA Retirement dinners. I always had a close thing in my heart for Ernie, he helped me when I needed it and I made sure I did that for students throughout my career. Rest in Peace and my prayers go to his loved ones.

I went to Palmer Jr. High and remember that even in the face of the tragic fire of 1976 Mr. Errico was an awesome leader and truly cared for his students.

Ernie and I met in 1953 as teachers at Cambie School. In about three years he we parted ways by teaching at different schools in Richmond. He was an inspiration to me and thousands of other people in his life time. He will nver be forgotten.

I'll never forget the way Mr. Errico rallied the troops when Palmer burned down in 1976. He showed amazing strength and leadership at a time of uncertainty and sadness for the students and staff. He was a great inspiration and a wonderful educator. My sincere condolences to the family.
