Ervin Lee Eddington, 65, departed this life on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Viewing will be held Friday 21, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Interment we clossed mucstrated. Ervin Lee Eddington, affectionately known to others by either "Hop" or "Ronnie," was born in Lubbock, TX on December 5, 1957, to Freddie Eddington, Sr. and Ceclee Eddington. Ervin attended and graduated from Estacado High School. After graduating he went on to work for Hemphill Wells and Covenant Hospital for many years. Ervin enjoyed working, cooking, and listening to music. He worked until his health prevented him from continuing. Ervin enjoyed life and brought a smile to the face of anyone who came around him. On July 16, 2023, he closed his eyes on this earth for the last time. His love will live on with us forever.He is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Ceclee Eddington.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Thomas Payton and Freddie Eddington, Jr.; his sisters, Brenda Willard and Clara Eddington; his nephews and nieces; Keldrick (Lori) Eddington, Gerald (Dorthea) Eddington, Darius Clark, Kevin, Lamar and Geriann Eddington, Tamisha, Kendra, Nariah, Keyera, Kaliya, Keauna, Avianna, and Honour Red, a host of other relatives and friends.
