Estella Maggipinto Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 12, 2023.
Estella Guina Maggipinto, beautiful, adoring, wife, mother and grandmother passed unexpectedly in her sleep. Born in San Jose, graduate of Presentation High and Santa Clara, following a semester at the Sorbonne, she met her husband Greg of 38 years in Madrid Spain. Together they parented 3 boys, while she worked full time in the marble and granite trade. Fluent in 3 languages, she was a fabulous cook and wine lover, whose passions included entertaining and travel, having toured some 40 countries. An excellent athlete, she was a Cal state mile champion at age 13 and ran no 1 for SCU cross country. She passed her athleticism and love of sports to her sons, Nolan, Nick and Michael. For decades hosted 49er, Warrior, Giants games at the family home, showcasing her culinary skills, as the family home morphed from a child to adult playground. Her joys included granddaughter Lily, and spending time with her elite 8, including daughter in law Allie, and her boy's girlfriends, Erica and Leslie. A staunch defender of women's rights, and Trump hater, donations to NARAL was her charity of choice.

Estella was such the high achiever!..accomplished, successful and socially engaging. She was a beacon of light, energy and sensibility. Seems patently unfair that she will no longer be around to enjoy the fine men she raised or share her wisdom and outgoing personality with her husband, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, friends and family. I will have to take solace in knowing that all those years of hard work were fulfilling. And instrumental in providing the bedrock and balance upon which their wonderful family was built. My heart, thoughts, and prayers will most certainly be focussed upon your funtastic family.

So saddened by the news of Estella passing. Have wonderful High School memories of her at Presentation HS. Seeing her posts of family, friends and travel, shows her life was blessed. My prayers are with her family and friends at this time.
