Even with an ocean apart we have had the opportunity to know Esther and her lovely way. The family bands are tight and being even a perifier part of the family is important to us. We will keep the memory of Esther in our hearts.
With love and tears!

My mother, Esther, was the most loving mother anyone could have. She opened her arms to those in need and welcome many to our table at home. I rejoice that she is in heaven, with our Lord Jesus Christ. I miss her dearly; she was not just my mother, but my dear friend. One day, I will see her in heaven again. What a glorious reunion that will be!
Esther was a very loving mother-in-law. She welcomed me into the family, as a son. I miss her and will never forget her.

Janice, John, Amanda & Kelly Corcoran, I was so sorry to hear that your Mom/Grandmother had passed away. She is in a far better place now with no more suffering. I feel blessed to have met Mrs. Carlson many years ago when she & her husband came to Kodiak, Alaska to visit her family. My thoughts & prayers are with your entire family.
Love always,
Sherry L. Stevenson (Fairbanks, Alaska)

I always thought of her as my "other Mom" after I joined the Carlson family as Karen's husband in 1970. She made me feel like "part of the family". I love her and will greatly miss her. She was the best!

I will always remember my Aunty Esther. So many memories...too hard to name the best ones. Our families were close and we spent so many occasions together. Christmas was always a highlight. As our families gathered for meals I remember Uncle Carl saying grace...he prayed that everyone in the family would come to know our Savior and be present in heaven together. Now another person around that table has joined the others in already there. That prayer echoes in my mind and I think of each young one that has come along. To the family...each one...what a wonderful hope we have that we can meet each other again with great joy because of Jesus Christ. May your hearts be really comforted....the best is yet to come.

Throughout my childhood, the happiest of memories involved piling in our family car for the 25+ mile ride to "Aunt Esther and Uncle Carl's" home. Laughter, good food, fellowship and love filled the visits. Hours later, back in the car, we returned home with full bellies, warm hearts and little did I know then--godly examples of Christian living--that coupled with my own family life and the blessings of the Lord Jesus, made me the person I am today.
