Esther Mankowski Obituary
Age 72, of Beechview, on Thursday, May 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Beloved wife of 49 years to Henry Mankowski; loving mother of Claire Mankowski, Michael Mankowski and the late Lynne Kush; grandmother of Adam, Rachel and Matthew Mankowski and Eric Kush; sister of the late John McElroy. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2630 West Liberty Ave., Dormont 412-531-4000 Saturday and Sunday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10am in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Sorry to hear about your mother, I just found out today, Tuesday. Hope you and your family are doing well. Just remember she is in a much better and painless place.

Dear Mike,
We don't know what to say. We wish that we could see Esther one last time but we know that we can't. We can only hope that she can hear our prayers. Esther was such a wonderful person, wife, mother & friend. She will be truly missed. If you need anything or just want to sit on the porch and shoot the breeze, let us know.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29)
