Age 89 of Modesto, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, August 21 of 2013. She was born the 10th of May 1924 in Vernon County, Missouri to the late Martha and Elmer Spencer. Esther was 1 of 7 children.
Esther had enormous love for her family, and was so very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to update you on the latest happenings.
She has 5 children, Sheri, Charles, Victoria, Leeland, and Johnnie; 5 grandchildren, Dana, Mark, Jennifer, Matthew, and Bryan; and 7 great-grandchildren, Kari, Dax, Abbey, Alex, Adria, Ricky, and Andrea.
Esther excelled in cooking! She was featured in the Modesto Bee on Wednesday, April 21, 1993, under the title "Welcome to My Kitchen." Esther worked for Sundial Restaurant on McHenry Avenue for many years and so enjoyed serving excellent food, and making friends. She worked part-time for the Modesto City Schools in the cafeteria.
Esther will be surrounded with the love of her immediate family at a graveside burial service, Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
