Dr. Nassar was a blessing to all students at UC. I had the blessing of running into him this summer. He said, he remembered me and even knew who I had married as he was dear friends w my father-in-law. What a special man.

Dr. Nassar was the consummate educator. English was my first love and he nourished that love. May he rest in peace and know that he touched the lives of so many.

Dr. Nassar taught his students to use words with precision. But words failed us at the news of his passing.
What we can say is he was our bright star and he always will be.

I am saddened at the loss of such a fruitful mind and a compassionate mentor...which he was to me.....he made me aware of such wonders of world of literature and the arts ....I can only say the same of two other individuals at Utica College with whom I had the same connection and friendship: Dr. Louis Angelini and Dr. Charles Samuels.....may I strive to live up to their expectations of me!
RIP my dear teacher!

So sad to learn of the death of Dr Nassar. Of all the classes I had at Utica College, his was my favorite. I will never forget this wonderful man and all I learned from him. His knowledge was so extensive and he had such a great way of teaching it to his students. Lastly, he was a great human being. Please accept my condolences. You were so fortunate to have this great man in your family. He will never be forgotten.

A kind person, an outstanding teacher, and a better man. You taught me so much and I am forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.

Fred, Michael and Gene were the nicest, brightest and smartest set of brothers to bless any area and its people. They gave in so many ways to their family, friends and community. Gene was, it could be successfully argued, the most accomplished teacher, scholar and writer in our local history. Above all, he was a wonderful, giving man. The brothers are back together with God.
