Uncle Bob always had a smile on his face and was able to make us laugh. His stories of years ago in Closter were funny, interesting, and never got old. Uncle Bob you will truly be missed. It is a comfort knowing you are now with Nana, Nanny, Papa Lou and Larry. Love you.

Uncle Bob always had a gift and a smile waiting for my brother and I at family functions. I remember seeing him at the hobby shop he worked at when I was a kid. He was always in a good mood and happy to see us when we arrived. You will be missed Uncle Bob.

Uncle Bob, we thank you for being so kind and gracious to my mother and I when we moved to California. We didn´t know anyone at first and you made us feel at home and comfortable. We will all miss you forever.

Such loving memories of Bob . He was like a Dad to me. I could listen to him telling stories for hours . He had the best ancestry collection ever. He loved family and life. I admired his detailed memory. Honored to have known him.

I am so glad I was able to fly out to California for three weeks to visit in August with Uncle Bob. It was a tough visit, but I'm glad I was able to spend time with him one more time. His health was failing and it was difficult to see that. He was a feisty to the end and he hated that his quality of life was what it was. One thing about Uncle Bob was that he prided himself on his appearance. Very rarely would you see him that he wasn't in a dress shirt and dress pants and looking dapper. I do have a different memory from one day Chip and I went to see him in the skilled nursing facility. I was walking down the hall and saw him sitting in the hallway. He was "glistening". He had just had a shower, shave and buzz cut. He had a pale blue tee shirt and sweat pants on. His aid thought his skin was dry and she lathered him up with lotion. Even his head was shiny. He looked so cute just sitting there. I don't know why that stands out to me, but it makes me smile when I think about it. I promised him I would be back out to see him again and feel bad that I was not able to fulfill that promise. Rest in peace Uncle Bob. I love you and will miss you.

Eugene, Uncle Bob, had friends in the entertainment industry, one was Tom Toner. Way back maybe 60 years ago they did a mock commercial with Tom behind the camera and Bob as the random person off the street volunteering for a taste test of a new product hitting the food industry, new matzo balls! These guys were characters to say the least, very entertaining!
I used to love to go over my grandmother`s house where most of the time all her boys were there, Eddie, Harry, Bob, and Howard. I would sit at Nana´s kitchen table, and listen to my Uncles tell jokes. These guys when together were extremely entertaining for a little kid like me, so many fond memories!
Bob worked at the Hobby Shop in Closter, this was another childhood spot where I would spend my time. He would give me quarters for the pinball machines and free race time on the model car race tracks downstairs.
Bob and his father were tight as he spoke of him often and after he passed Bob took care of his mother (Nana Wrixon) as she aged. I will remember many many good times we had and although he is gone now, I realize he is out of the pain and misery he went through and he is in a better place now! I will always miss you my Uncle Bob. L.E.C.III
