Eula Mae Brewer

Eula Mae Brewer March 10, 1939 - April 18, 2017 San Marcos - Eula "Mae" Brewer, 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 18th at Palomar Medical Center with her family by her side. Born March 10th, 1939 in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Jesse and Dora Burkett, she moved to California in 1942 and had been a North County resident since 1945. Mae married her high school sweetheart Andrew "Buzz" Jackson Brewer, Jr., on April 1st, 1956 in Escondido. They enjoyed 61 incredible years of marriage, and had lived in the same San Marcos home they built together since 1969. After raising her two sons Keith and Michael, she built a successful career in banking before retiring from Escondido National Bank in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, camping, and fishing. The proud matriarch of a large and loving family, she is survived by her adoring husband Andrew "Buzz" Brewer, her two sons Keith Brewer of Escondido, and Michael Brewer of San Marcos, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. There will be a public viewing from 4pm-8pm, Wednesday, April 26th at the Alhiser-Comer Mortuary Chapel, 225 S. Broadway in Escondido. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1pm, Thursday, April 27th at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Road in Escondido. Alhiser-Comer Mortuary is handling arrangements.
