Evelyn D. Kast

(Albion) - Evelyn D. Kast, age 93, died October 19, 2009 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. She was born September 4, 1916 in Williamson, NY, a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Deitz) DeNagel. Evelyn was a secretary and bookkeeper for Kast Farms for over 50 years. She was a Twig member for Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital for many years and enjoyed working in the twig shop. Also, she was a member of the Gaines Carlton Community Church, she was a den mother for the boy scouts for many years and she loved working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Stanley; sons, David (Kathy) of Albion, Paul of Conifer, CO; grandchildren, John (Cheryl) Kast, Laura (Tom) Kaczmarek, Brett Kast; great-grandchildren, Tyler Sierra and Logan Kast, Kennedy Smelski; brother Raymond (Connie) DeNagel of Williamson; brothers-in-law, Rolland (Anita) Kast of Nokomis FL, Lavern (Ruth) Kast of Lafayette IN, Merwin Kast of Albion; sisters-in-law, Evalyn Weisenborn of Williamsville, Marjorie Hubbord of Rochester; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Elsie (Howard) Plumb; brothers-in-law, Roy Weisenborn, Loyd Hubbard. There are no prior calling hours. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gaines Carlton Community Church or Hospice of Orleans.
