Evelyn Rose Collins Ruckel, 71, of Eubank, Ky., passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.She was born in Blackey, Ky. on Dec. 10, 1938, daughter of the late Chester and Mattie Lyttle Collins. She retired from Cowden's Manufacturing and was a clerk at Ruckel's Grocery. She was a member of Polly Ann Baptist Church.She is survived by one son, Larry Montez (and Debra) Ruckel of Eubank; one daughter, Kathy Sue Ruckel of Eubank; one granddaughter, Marisa Danielle Ruckel of Columbia, Ky.; one grandson, Elisha Dhane Montgomery of Carrollton, Ky.; one brother, Douglas (and Nadeen) Collins of Eubank; three sisters, Omia Nell (and Harvey) Ison of Eubank, Mabel (and T.L.) Reynolds of London, Ky. and Lois Ann (and Allen) Carrender of Science Hill; two sisters-in-law, Linda Collins Dungan and Mabel Collins, both of Eubank; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Pleman Ruckel, whom she married on June 2, 1956 and who died on May 10, 1975. He was the son of the late Henry and Ruby Ruckel. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy Joe Collins and Chester Collins Jr.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Sister Jessica Hall and Bro. Jay Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Friday at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.Donations may be made to Eubank Fire Department, Waynesburg Fire Department, Waynesburg Rescue Squad or American Cancer Society. Morris and Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Condolences may be expressed to the family at: www.morrisandhislope.com
