Evert is survived by his two loving parents, Pedro Sr. and Virginia; inseparable brothers, Pedro Jr. and Douglas; proud sister Rosemarie; kind stepfather Jim Cornish; thoughtful sister-in-law Annette; supportive brother-in-law Michael Yuen; beautiful nieces Kailah and Dalia; handsome nephew Peter Jr; and devoted girlfriend Mary Nguyen.

We are truly grateful and honored to have spent time with Evert and to call him our friend. He was always genuine, kind and loving. His smile and laughter was contagious!! We will always remember you Evert, we will cherish the memories and we miss you so much! An angel was called home to Heaven and we know you are watching over us all. He left us with so many wonderful memories that we will never forget, that we will always talk about , and that we will always laugh about. I'm happy that I spent a lot of time with him these past couple years but also sad at the same time that we can't spend anymore time together. I'm still looking for answers and asking why him? I am still in disbelief. I just hope he is okay wherever he is. I hope he knows we miss him and love him.

Dr. Evert Tan was a wonderful student. Very smart and always was into his HTC phone during the 2010-2011. lol I would like to say sorry for your loss to his wonderful family.
