Dear Carolyn,
It was with shock and sadness that I heard of Henry's passing. Bill Ellinoff shared this with me, and we talked about how many years we have known and felt a fondness for Henry. He always greeted me with a big smile and all the latest news....I am so sorry for your loss. He was the sweetest man....

Carolyn, We are very sorry to hear of Henry's passing; we had no idea of his illness of recent months. We have many pleasant memories of our times together both in Milton and the Cape. We will miss him with his always upbeat manner and surely he will brighten heaven as he did on earth.

I met Henry my first year working at Deerfield. He immediately embraced me as a friend. I will always remember the times playing golf with him at Wianno, visiting with Carolyn and Henry at their lovely home and seeing that wonderful smile cross his face. He was a special man and his passing creates a void.
