She was well-read and could tell you what was occurring in the world at any given time. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She is missed by all who knew and loved her. Dear Lew and Family,
I was so saddened to learn of Fannie's passing. She was one of the kindest and most compassionate ladies that I have ever known, and I will always treasure her many gifts of those two values to me. She was truly a "lady", who loved all of you so very much, and lived her faith in all that she did and said. l am so blessed to have had the privilege of her touching my life...
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with each of you, and your families, in your sadness. May her memory be eternal...
With love,
Alan and Daniella Kyriakides

Fannie was certainly an inspiration to her family and to all who knew her. Her kind and gentle way, ever smiling, was a beautiful frame for her intelligence and her role model as a professional woman among her generation of women. Her legacy is not only in her successful children but also in the many people whose lives she touched during her lifetime. We are so glad we knew her.

I worked with Fannie at the Small Business Administration until she retired seven years ago at age 83. I was not about to wait that long to retire so her long career made up for me retiring early. She was my frequent companion for Needles Eye luncheons and Eyes on Richmond lunches. I visited her and her husband several times but not often enough. I had planned to visit when I got back from Ireland but now it is too late. If I knew where her grave was at Westhampton Cemetery, I would visit her there since that is where my parents are buried. I will miss you very much.

Awww, Mrs. Gergoudis was always such a "lady". I feel honored to have known her. A couple of years ago at Christmastime and the youth group sang to her at St. Mary's Woods, she took the time to send a handwritten note to thank us! That is the type of person she will be remembered as.
