Florence DERVIN Obituary
Peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Dear wife of the late Justin Dervin. Beloved mother of Carl (Lynn Harriet), John (Elizabeth Yack) and Joan (Cliff Shaw). Devoted and proud grandmother to Justin and Brenden Dervin and Cieara Shaw. She will sadly missed by her dear niece Maureen (Truman Stitt) and her family. Loving sister of Theresa Roos. Will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Elaine McVeigh, Margaret Lavell and Audrey Lavell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Peter Lavell and Maude Burke, and siblings Bernard, Kathleen Spottswood, Thomas, Sister Anna Maureen (Marian), Alice Cosgrove, Dorothy, Harry and Peter. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Patrick's Church Fallowfield (15 Steeple Hill Crescent, Nepean) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 1:30 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Carlow House at St. Patrick's Home for their supportive and compassionate care. Your mom was a special lady and volunteer. I have continued to think about your mom even though she and I had not spoken in years. I remember buying a turkey one year from you dad. Best turkey ever! Very sorry to hear about the passing of our beloved "Aunt Flo". A very well lived, long life. I have many fond memories of times spent in Fallowfield (especially the wonderful meals she prepared for one & all) and Justin teasing her (& her response "Oh Justin !!). She is now reunited with him. Condolences to all & sorry I can't make it back for the Funeral.
