Florence Louise Winkler

Florence Louise "Flossie" Hinton-Winkler, 90, of Spencer, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 4, 2014. She was born in Bowling Green, IN on November 13, 1923, to Job E. and Erma (Rhodes) Chambers. Florence was a long time employee of the Frosty Drive Inn and several other restaurants until retiring in 1985. She was a member of Christ Country Church. She loved to garden and spend time with her family, especially all her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Orval J. Hinton and Robert E. Winkler, Sr.; brothers, Robert Chambers and Louis Chambers; sisters, Mildred Jobe and Hester Scherb; parents; son in-law, Jeral Bault, Sr. and grandson, Chuckie Thacker. Mrs. Winkler is survived by her sisters, Erie Bell of Harmony and Marcella Bixler of Spencer; children, Carolyn Bault of Spencer, James (Christene) Hinton of Patricksburg, Madonna (John) Tabor of Wildwood, FL, Gary (Julie) Hinton of Spencer, Doris Winkler (Chuck Thacker) of Spencer, and Robert E.(Janice) Winkler, Jr. of Spencer; several grandchildren, great-grand grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11 am, Saturday, May 10, 2014, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Bault officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Friday and 9 am until time of service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Humane Society.
