Frances Golightly Obituary
Knoxville, TN
Frances Rorex Golightly, 93, departed this life on October 8, 2018 at Southern Regional Hospital, Riverdale, Georgia. She was born in Blount County, Tennessee on April 25, 1925 to the late Ella and Samuel Rorex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter, Wanda G. Cade; mother, Ella Rorex; father, Samuel Rorex; and sisters, Margaret Holland, Samuel McBath, Imogene Bradford and Clotel Glanton.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters: Francelle (Charles) Edwards, Pauletta (Walter) Geter and Gilda (Wayne) Valentine Atlanta, GA; sister, Ernestine Jackson; devoted nephew, Emmert Jackson, Jr.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of devoted nieces, nephews and devoted friends. A special THANK YOU to devoted caregivers (granddaughter and grandson-in-law) Janice and Arthur Hughes (Atlanta, GA) and Eva Fauntroy (Knoxville, TN).
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the William V. Powell, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Unity Mortuary, with the Celebration of Life Service to follow. The final resting place will be at Knoxville National Cemetery following the services. A white dove release will conclude the services.
