Friend from long ago
Became friends with Fran 30'ish years ago while she was still in Edinburgh and met up with her several times over the years. Fran obtaining her degree was inspiration to me recommencing my own studying to obtain a BSc. Always hoped to met up with her again and was shocked to discover the sad sad news.

FRIEND FROM UNIVERSITY
I have just heard about Fran's death tonight after I received the Aberdeen University magazine! I am so shocked at this news even thought she passed away in April of this year. I had'nt been in touch with Fran some some time and when last we spoke we joked about maybe catching up in Aberdeen some time.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for all the family's loss. My thoughts go out to Katie and Innes. My memories of Fran are linked to some of my best times at Uni where we had so much good times together.Time goes by so quickly and we always leave things too late.
