Francis Amrhein

Francis Walter "Terry" Amrhein, 83, passed away on January 11, 2025, in Huntington Beach, California. Born on April 29, 1941, in Queens, New York, Terry lived a life filled with adventure and curiosity. He especially cherished time spent with his family.

Terry earned a Bachelor of Marine Engineering degree from the State University of New York, Maritime College at Fort Schuyler on June 4, 1963. His intelligence and analytical mind led him to a successful career in sales for large manufacturing and construction corporations. He was known for his ability to connect with people and his open-minded approach to both work and life.

Beyond his professional achievements, Terry had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether scuba diving, snow skiing, hiking, swimming, or tending to his garden, he found joy in nature and embraced every opportunity for adventure. His passion for music was equally strong-he loved all genres and never missed a chance to dance. His charming personality and infectious enthusiasm made him the life of the party wherever he went.

Terry is survived by his children: Nora (Isaac) Joyce, Alisan (Alex) Theodossiou, Kelly Feck, and Michael Amrhein; his siblings: Susan (John) Mulligan, Donna (Gordon) McKenney, Peter Amrhein, and Kim (Steve) Butler; as well as his former wife, Sharon Amrhein; granddaughters Elliana, Arya, and Ava; grandsons Jeremy, Tyler and Erik. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis Amrhein Sr. and Elizabeth Donovan Amrhein, and his sister Nancy Mulligan.

In keeping with his generous spirit and commitment to lifelong learning, Terry donated his body for medical education and research at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. A celebration of Terry's life will be held on April 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hudson Hound in Jersey City, New Jersey (8 Erie St. A).
