DR. FRANCIS A., M.D.
94, on June 14, 2002, of Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of Fox Chapel; loving husband of Louise; father of Joan H. Sauers of Oakmont, PA., Karen Harrison of Severna Park, MD., Patrice Hegarty of Springfield, PA., Gail Fell of Rye, NY., and Brian Hegarty of Berkeley Heights, NJ.; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Dr. Hegarty practiced medicine from 1933 to 1980 at the Mercy Hospital of Pgh. He was also a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Jefferson Medical College. He served in the army from 1941 to 1946. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the THOMAS D. ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 am at St Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Mercy Hospital Cancer Institute c/o Mercy Hospital, 1400 Locust St., Pgh., PA. 15219.
