I was a patient of his many many years ago. Absolutely loved him. He was on vacation when our first baby was born and we had the pleasure of Dr. Rotolo delivering our beautiful daughter. A year later I was in labor again and dear Dr. Rotolo was with us throughout labor but when it came time to deliver Dr. Lombardo delivered our second beautiful daughter. He´d told Dr. Rotolo to call him if I delivered in time for him to make it to the airport for his vacation to Italy! He delivered and checked her out in the nursery and visited me in my room and he was off! The nurses wanted to know who the patient was that he came in to deliver her baby. I couldn´t have felt any more special. That´s the kind of doctor he was. A very special man indeed. God bless him.

As a former patient,I will never forget the kindness and compassion I received from him nearly 30 years ago. I knew in one visit this was exceptional man who truly cared for everyone.

After 10 years of marriage, it seemed we would remain forever childless. But, finally, at the ages of 37 and 38 ( rather old for those days..) our prayers were finally answered, and I can still see the smile on Dr. Lombardo's face when he announced.."Congratulations ! You're 10 weeks pregnant"! I think he was as pleased as we were. After a very stressful, difficult pregnancy and 22 hours of labor, Dr. Lombardo performed a C-Section. Our son was finally born with a knot in his cord, which was wrapped around his neck TWICE. Dr. Lombardo said we came very close to making medical history. I've always said that without his knowledge and expertise, my husband and I would still be childless today. He was deeply spiritual and religious, a very kind man and a wonderful doctor. He will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him. May his family take comfort in the knowledge that only his physical presence has left them...they will always have his spirit, and their memories. And now...the good doctor will be forever wrapped in the loving arms of his beloved Jesus Christ.

To me Frank Lombardo was the finest example of Christ here on Earth that one will ever see. I am a 72 year old grandmother and have never met anyone whom I admired more. Surely Heaven is a happier place, and God and His Kingdom now share Frank's smile, his helpfulness, his wisdom, and his great love of Christ. He must have been greeted with, "Well done my good and faithful servant." How lucky we all were to have had him in our lives at Saint Eulalia's!!!

Dear family of Dr. Lombardo, I am very sad I missed his memorial and I have thought about him many times since he retired from Burlington OB/GYN . Dr. Lombardo was very kind and caring to me a young ob/gyn doctor when I met him in 1995. I 'll always remember his generous sharing of his desk until he retired. I saw him as a great model of
a dedicated doctor and a fun loving individual. We all miss him on L+D at Winchester Hospital.
Best wishes to all of you.

Tom, Nancy, Jim and Judy, I was sorry to hear the sad news. I have fond memories of times we all spent together many years ago. Your Dad always had a smile on his face.

Frank,my very dear friend, who never had a bad word to say about anyone, who was always full of laughter and good cheer, who was the epitome of kindness and generosity. If anyone deserves a mansion in heaven, you most certainly do. Your good nature has always been an inspiration to me! You will be sorely missed.
