Francis Parchinsky Obituary

Francis "Frank" Parchinsky, 72, of Indiana, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. A son of Michael and Bertha Cormick Parchinsky, he was born on Feb. 20, 1932, in Coy Junction, Indiana County.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Catholic Church in Homer City. For 35 years, he was a surveyor for L. Robert Kimball and Associates. He enjoyed bowling and many years ago had been a member of the Kim Shoes Bowling League, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Edna "Kay" Smathers Parchinsky, of Indiana; two daughters: Robin Handy and her husband Donald, of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; and Audrey Michelle, Pittsburgh; a grandson; Also two sisters and two brothers: Ann Troili, of Indiana; George and his wife, Rachel, Corpus Christi, Texas; Andrew and his wife, Dorothy, Fairborn, Ohio; Bertha Mulvhill and her husband, Richard, of Seward; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: John, Joseph and Nick Parchinsky; three sisters: Elizabeth Midock, Mary Millen and Martha "Marti" Knopick; and four infant siblings. Funeral services were held Saturday in Indiana with the Very Rev. Mojmir Zalcik officiating. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery, in Indiana.
