Francis R. "Red" Ryan Brownsville, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Jerome, Pa., to the late Thomas Patrick and Ellen O'Hare Ryan. He was a veteran of the Korean war. He retired from Pipefitters local 354. He was a member of the Elks, AMVET, VFW, and American Legion. He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Ann Ryan; brother, Thomas Ryan; and sister, Ann Ballant. He is survived by three sons, Keith F. Ryan and wife, Heidi, of Brownsville, William T. Ryan of Brownsville, and Timothy P. Ryan and wife, Pamela, of Ocoee, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Colin, Patrick, Erin, Megan, Michael and Madelyne; two great-granddaughters, MacKenzy and Madelyn; three sisters, Jane Famularo and husband, Jim, Margaret Ann Wallowicz and husband, Dave Elaine Malek, and husband, George; sister-in-law, Norma Ryan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Karen Clawson and Joe Barantovich. Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, with the Rev. Father, James Petrovsky as celebrant. Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park with full military rites accorded by American Legion Post 295, 940, and 838. A parish wake service will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Donations can be made to Hillman Cancer Center or Amedisys Hospice. www.skirpanfuneralhome.com.
